![]() ![]() I just transitioned to home workouts back in January, and I LOVE it. She has more HIIT style workouts, but they are shorter in duration. ![]() For something a bit more challenging, I like Short_Circuits with Marsha Hughes. I just discovered Fitness Blender and really like them, as well as HASFit, which I feel is somewhat similar in style and intensity. I now have a new kind of anxiety about all this information overload! But not a bad problem at all to have right now! I guess I'm disappointed because I always felt like this type of class was my "thing" and now I don't have a "thing" anymore.ġ) Is anyone using exclusively FB right now? I guess I'm feeling some guilt because part of me thinks I should be doing "harder" activities.Ģ) Is there anything available online that's kind of a medium between FB and Les Mills?ģ) Has anyone made a regular regime out of FB? Is it worth getting one of their plans?Įdit: thanks everyone for the support! I honestly thought I’d get downvoted for being a boob □. I've decided that if I don't use it at least a few times (successfully) this month, I'm not going to keep my subscription. But, the at-home version might just not work for me. I keep telling myself that I'm working back up to Les Mills. Even in something like Bodyattack, I find the moves complicated and there's often a "rhythm" I can't achieve. There's no "coordination" required like Les Mills. The hard exercises are in short intervals instead of MINUTES of burpees or squats. I've been doing Fitness Blender videos - I find them easier but also more satisfying because I can actually complete them. I find at home I get frustrated easily and get really down on myself which is actually quite detrimental for mental health, when maybe a workout is the one thing you're looking forward to that day. There's something about being in a group that makes you suck it up and persevere. I didn't think I was a person who enjoyed the social aspect of the classes, but maybe I did. Basically 30/60 minutes of burpees/push-ups/jumping. I've tried some of the other ones that were never available at my gym - like Grit - and who does these?! They are SO hard. I find a lot of the videos are structured differently than live classes. I tried a Bodypump a few weeks ago and it absolutely wrecked me. I'm not sure if it's because I took a break and lost some fitness, but I'm not enjoying Les Mills anymore. Now with the corona situation I'm at home 100% of the time and want to get back into fitness because being completely sedentary is just not acceptable to me for physical reasons but also mental health. I subscribed to Les Mills on demand which seemed like a pretty good compromise - this was all I was doing at the gym anyway.ĭespite this, I went through a lazy period recently. I ended up cancelling my membership a few months before this whole corona situation because I was having difficulty getting to the gym for transportation and scheduling reasons. This was pretty much the extent of my workouts and I never considered myself to be in great shape or anything. In my gym this meant Les Mills classes and I mainly went to Bodypump or CXWork. I used to be a fairly regular gym go-er and I mainly enjoyed classes.
